How to Ask for Google Reviews on WhatsApp
Six ready-to-send WhatsApp message templates for requesting Google reviews — plus the timing rules and Google policies every Indian business should know before hitting send.
Before you send: two things to get right
1. Use a direct review link. Your Google Business Profile has one under "Ask for reviews" — it opens the 5-star form in one tap. Every template below has a [Your review link] placeholder for it.
2. Timing beats wording. The same message sent one hour after a great haircut and three days after it are two different messages. Send while the experience is fresh — ideally before the customer reaches home.

Formal tone (CA firms, consultants)
Dear [Client Name], thank you for trusting [Business Name] with your work. If you were satisfied with our service, we would appreciate a review on Google: [Your review link]. Thank you.
Gentle follow-up (send once, 2-3 days later)
Hi [Customer Name], just a gentle reminder — if you have a spare minute, we'd love your feedback on Google: [Your review link]. Thank you for supporting a local business! 🙏
Thank-you after they review

Do's and don'ts
Do
- Send within an hour of the visit — gratitude fades fast
- Use the customer’s name and your business name
- Send a direct review link, never "search for us on Google"
- Keep it under 3 lines — this is WhatsApp, not email
- Follow up once at most, then stop
Don't
- ✕Never offer discounts or gifts for reviews — it violates Google’s policy
- ✕Never ask only happy customers ("review gating") — also against policy
- ✕Don’t send in bulk from a personal number — WhatsApp may block it
- ✕Don’t argue with a customer who declines — thank them anyway
