How to Get Your Google Review Link
A Google review link opens the "write a review" box for your business directly. Customers do not have to search for you, find your listing and scroll to the reviews. Every step you remove means more customers finish the review.

Before you start
You need to own or manage the Google Business Profile for your business, and be signed in to that Google account. If your business is not on Google yet, create and verify the profile first at business.google.com. Google only shows the review-link option to the profileโs owners and managers.
Get the link on your phone
- 1
Search for your business on Google
Open the Google app or Chrome, signed in with the account that manages the profile, and search your business name. Your profile appears at the top with editing options, because Google recognises you as the owner.
- 2
Find the reviews option
Look for an option called "Ask for reviews" or "Get more reviews". Google moves and renames it from time to time. If you cannot see it, open the "Reviews" or "Customers" section of your profile.
- 3
Copy or share the link
Google shows a short link, usually starting with g.page/r/. Copy it, or use the share buttons to send it straight to WhatsApp.
Get the link on a computer
Sign in to the managing account, search your business name on google.com, and use the same "Ask for reviews" option on your profile. Google also shows this option on the business.google.com dashboard. The link is the same on phone and computer. It does not expire, so save it somewhere you can find it again.
Check that it works
Open the link on a phone that is NOT signed in as the business owner, such as a family memberโs phone. It should open the review box for your business. If it opens a different business or a blank page, copy the link again from your profile. A common cause is a business with several branches where the link came from the wrong one.
Where to share your review link
- In a WhatsApp or SMS message sent right after the visit, while the experience is fresh. This works far better than any other place.
- On the bill or invoice, as a printed QR code, for customers who pay at the counter.
- In your WhatsApp Business "away" or order-confirmation messages.
- In your email signature, if your customers use email.
Ask every customer the same way. Sending the link only to customers you think are happy is "review gating", which is against Googleโs rules.
Common questions
Is the Google review link free?
Yes. The link comes from your Google Business Profile and costs nothing. Paid tools only automate sending it and tracking who has reviewed.
Does the review link change?
Normally no. It stays the same unless the profile itself is removed or merged. Test it again if you change the business name or address.
Can I get separate links for each branch?
Yes. Each branch has its own Business Profile and its own link. Send each customer the link for the branch they visited, so the review lands on that branch.
Can a customer review without a Google account?
No. Google requires the reviewer to be signed in. Most Android users already are, so for them the link opens straight to the review box.
Ask every customer, without remembering to
LocalFirst sends your Google review link to every customer over SMS and WhatsApp, a few taps after each visit.
